Some Small Stones

Gerard Art Space. 2015

In collaboration with Evan Cartwright and Kira Daube

Some Small Stones was a breath held, not for a duration of time, but for a duration of space. People in one room listened to us breathe (funny though, that the out-breaths were often accompanied with some soft tone, reminiscent of a singing voice). And from a faraway place, two confidantes conducted these breaths much like the mind does: they asked the questions that stop all breathing - for we get lost in thought, freed from distance, weight, and other quantities - waiting for some answers before we re-begin our frequencies.
